About Dr. Beyer

Dr. Edward Beyer was born on the south side of Chicago and raised in a family of six in the southern suburbs of Chicago.

As a youth his interests quickly turned to sports- eventually participating in high school football, baseball and wrestling at Hillcrest High School in Country Club Hills.

While playing football Dr. Beyer sustained a back injury. Originally he sought out traditional care for his pain. When this did not help him he went on to seek successful chiropractic care. The success of the treatment sparked his desire to become a Doctor of Chiropractic.

Dr. Beyer did his undergraduate study at Western Illinois University and Brigham Young University.

As a young adult his passions for competitive sports lead him to physical fitness. Over the course of the last 25 years he has completed five marathons and several triathlons. In 1987 he qualified and completed the prestigious Boston marathon in less than three hours.

Also, in that same year, he graduated cum laude and fourth in his class from the National College of Chiropractic In Lombard Illinois.

The next year, 1988, was a significant year in his life as it marked the birth of his first child and the opening of his Clinic in Tinley Park. The next 21 years brought great growth to his family and his practice.

For the last 4 years Dr. Beyer has been practicing Brain Based Therapy treatments on many of his most chronic conditions. Dr. Beyer has also added metabolic testing and treatment to treat chronic pain patients. Dr. Beyer has logged hundreds of hours in post-graduate study of Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis and Metabolic Testing & Treatment under Dr. Datis Kharrazian, DHSc DC, MS. The result of adding brain-based therapy and metabolic testing and treatment to his clinic has brought great success in treating chronic conditions such as chronic dizziness, vertigo & balance disorders.

Dr. Beyer is now is the father of five- Rachel 21, Scott 20, Jessica 18, Becky 17 and Matthew 10. His oldest son, Scott, begins Chiropractic school in 2010 and Jessica Starts the master’s physical therapy program at U.I.C. the fall of 2009.

His practice has grown from a 1000 square foot office with two employees to 3000 square feet with 12 employees and includes the services of a licensed physical therapist. He has served over 11,000 patients since 1988.

Dr. Beyer is currently enrolled in the Diplomate program for Chiropractic Neurology with the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies.

Dr. Beyer continues to serve as an example to his patients by following a strict workout schedule that includes weightlifting & cardiovascular work, stretching, taking supplements faithfully and routine chiropractic care.
